We have received confirmation that, following the recent death of Dave’s wife Sue in July, Dave has decided that he will be retiring from the music industry and that Chas & Dave will therefore no longer be performing together.

The good news however is that Chas Hodges will still be performing as “Chas and his Band” - and so the show will go on here at Chickenshed on Saturday 26 September as planned, and it promises to be as fantastic an evening as ever. Chas will be doing all the old songs, as well as talking about his time with Dave.

Chas & Dave have been great supporters of Chickenshed in recent years, and their gigs here have always been very successful fundraisers for us, and we’re delighted that Chas has decided to play on. As you may know, Chickenshed is home to thousands of children and young people who take part in our weekly workshops and educational courses. For those excluded from mainstream education or recreation, they are a lifeline. We are very grateful to Chas & Dave, and also to you for your support by attending what promises to be rocking night.

Come to the theatre on Saturday 26th September to hear them play old classics in their no-nonsense rock’n’roll style.

The bar will be open from 7pm for food and drink, with the show starting at 8pm. A Cockney disco after the performance will end at 1am.
